With the upgrade of the WiFi system at Mozarthaus Vienna, a new web-based audioguide was introduced, offering all visitors free access on their own devices via the museum’s network. Designed with a focus on intuitive usability, the interface allows seamless navigation through the guide’s content in all 12 available languages—without the need for written instructions—making the museum experience more accessible, modern, and user-centered.
Users can select their preferred language, choose between content tailored for adults or children and receive guidance on where to begin their visit. From there, visitors have the flexibility to navigate between tracks, search by number, or switch languages at any time. The interface is designed to be fully accessible, easily navigated also by screen readers for visually impaired users. On the backend, the system simplifies the museum team's workflow, enabling easy updates and new language additions by automating the process through a simple file upload.
