Wine cellar tour at Stift Klosterneuburg

In spring 2024, the newly redesigned wine cellar tour at Stift Klosterneuburg was inaugurated. In collaboration with Studio Kudlich, a new lighting and exhibition concept for the various production and storage rooms of the monastery was conceived and implemented. Visitors symbolically follow "the path of the grape" from the vineyards, through the press house, all the way to the impressive vaults of the baroque cellar, where they encounter the highlight of the wine cellar tour. Specially designed and crafted lighting installations poetically accentuate the existing structures as well as the displayed wine collection, creating a captivating atmosphere.

Another noteworthy aspect of this project is the necessary compatibility of the tours with the ongoing work of wine production within the premises. To address this, a control concept was developed in collaboration with the executing electrical company, which synchronizes the transition from bright work lights to dimmer tour lighting with the groups of visitors, ensuring a smooth flow of the tour despite the ongoing operations.
